We rode our bikes on two trails. The first trail was around Lake Taupo as far as Five Mile Bay.
The second ride was on the Tongariro Trail, which started at the Tongariro Trout Centre.

Today, most of us work a pink shirt and other pink accessories.
The history behind Pink Shirt Day is that a boy got bullied for wearing a pink shirt. It was a school in Canada 13 years ago. Two other boys decided it wasn't right and got as many people to wear a pink shirt the next day. Eight hundred and fifty children out of one thousand wore pink. This stopped the bullying and started a global movement.

So cool to have Jessie Smith, BMX World Champion for under 19s visit us on the first Taku Wairua session.
We learnt about the four pillars of the programme - belonging, goal setting, self discovery and Citizenship.

We used the Science Kit for the first time. We collaborated in groups and followed the instructions. The chemicals combined to cause a reaction. The blankets made a dark space to view the glow!
